About
I'm a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores the emotional layers of family, memory, and identity; particularly through the lens of Black mother-daughter relationships. Since learning to prioritize mental health, I've been creating artwork that reflects my personal journey, focusing on the complexities of my relationship with my mother from childhood to adulthood.
Much of my visual storytelling is inspired by a recurring dynamic in many Black families: the eldest daughter stepping into the caregiver role. In my digital, print, and mixed media pieces, this emotional imbalance often shows up as distance or tension between mother-daughter figures. My goal is to connect with other Black women who may see parts of their own story in mine.
Art has always been part of my world. Graphic design and illustration are two of the many ways I channel my creativity. With over three years of experience, I've built a versatile body of work through exhibitions, commissions, internships, coursework, and collaborative projects. I'm passionate about using design not just to communicate, but to heal, reflect, and connect.
